The final step in the process involves extensive background checks, which typically include:
- Reference checks to verify employment history, skill level, performance, and professional demeanor
- Background and criminal checks based upon the client organization's request
- Drug testing also based upon the client organization's request
For every candidate presented to our client, two or more professional references are contacted. The reference verification process includes:
- Business relationship and duration.
- Specific functions completed by the candidate.
- Technical competence.
- Dependability.
- Communications skills (verbal and written).
- Work ethic.
- Quality of work.
In addition, the reference may be asked:
- What motivates the candidate?
- What is the candidate's greatest strength?
- What is the candidate's greatness weakness?
- Would the reference hire the candidate?
- Would the candidate be appropriate for the assignment being considered?
